With the hottest temps on record for the U.S. according to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration being 2012, and the worst drought in about 50 years comes higher prices.
It kind of makes scene that prices would go up here in the U.S.. But since we export a large portion of the worlds corn, and corn is used as animal feed, process food filler, and most recently fuel. It will price increases in many different areas. The drought has effected 88% of the corn crop (see the drought footprint HERE.).
