This Dish is better if it is cooked on a charcoal grill; however gas grills do just fine.
Yaki Tori
Ingredients:

2 chicken breasts
·
1 medium negi (green Onion or Leek)
·
1 tbsp sugar
·
2 tbsp sake
·
3 tbsp mirin
·
3 tbsp soy sauce
·
3 tps Ginger juice
·
*Bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 30min to prevent burning)
Preparation:
1) Soak Skewers in water.
2) Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
3) Cut negi into 1 inch
lengths.
4) Skewer the chicken and negi in alternating order.
Sauce:
1) To make teriyaki
sauce, mix sugar, sake, mirin, ginger juice,and soy sauce in a small bowl.
2) Grill the skewered chicken over hot coals, basting with teriyaki sauce until
the chicken is cooked.
I hope and pray that someday I will be able to go to Japan myself instead of getting authentic recipes for the people who live there.
