Clearly there is a lot of debate going on, even up to the U.S. House and and Senate. But the possibility of a commercial of "Horse, it's what's for dinner" is a possibility. As a lifetime horse lover and owner I understand that we have an over abundance of horses on the market right now. This is causing the market prices to drop significantly and hurting many horse owners. Saying that, I feel I need to state this, If horse breeders would breed responsibly and horse owners would not just breed for fun (the whole have your pets spayed or neutered should apply to horses too!), we would not be having this problem. As the article states we do not raise our horses for human consumption. They are given medicines that can be toxic to humans. They should by no means ever end up on the dinner table, if for no other reason than that.
