Garlic Potatoes
King Solomon once said "There is nothing new under the sun." and sometimes you just don't need to re- invent the wheel. Sometimes (like I did just now) you find someone who has already done the work and has what you need. In this case I found a great recipe for Garlic Potatoes at Food.com.

Spicy Steak Rub
Marinating meat before cooking is almost always the way to go. However sometimes you didn't figure out what your were going to cook, or you get home late and weren't able to let the meat soak in the liquid goodness even for the minimum time. This happened all the time at my house when I was in the Navy. both my wife and I would be coming home from the naval hospital and be dead tired...hmm maybe that was a bad choice of woods, anyway.

Garlic Herb Crusted New York Strip Loin Roast
This roast is a real family pleaser, and works well at parties. It will give a real sophistication to an event, and people will wounder if you had a caterer come in for the meat. Cooking time will vary with the thickness of the roast and the desired done-ness.

Pickled Ginger
I love Sushi, but what I like most about it is I can make it like it is a new taste experience each time I take a bite. The reason this can happen is a little thing called Pickled Ginger. It cleanses the pallet so when you take a new bite of sushi all the flavors of the sushi come out in a blinding explosion. So here is a simple way to make your own.
